Welcome to the Human Genome Virtual Meeting 2020. We’re excited to have you join us online for the event.
The following are instructions on how to participate in the event. To participate, you just need a computer or mobile device connected to the internet. We recommend modern devices with a broadband connection.
How do I connect to the live event?
We have sent you an email containing the link to the event. If you haven’t received the email, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
The event will run from Sunday to Wednesday as per the published program. Speakers from around the world will be presenting on a wide range of topics. You’ll be able to see and hear the presenter and their presentation and will be able to ask questions via your keyboard.
When you launch the video portal, you’ll see the live broadcast in the middle of the screen. Click on the link to view the broadcast.
How do I ask a question?
When you’re watching a presentation, there will be a speech bubble next to the timeline. Its on the right of the video player at the bottom. Click on the speech bubble, type in your name & email address and submit your question. A moderator will repeat your question to the audience when appropriate however its possible we may not have time to respond so the moderator will arrange for your question to be answered offline

Will the event be recorded?
Yes. All sessions will be available to view on demand from the same link you’ve been sent via email.
Can I ask a question when watching a recording?
Yes! Simply click on the speech bubble and your question will go into a queue to be answered offline.
What if I’m having problems?
Send an email to email@example.com and our support desk staff will assist as soon as possible. Please make sure you include a screenshot and detailed information about the issue you’re having.
